New Zealand Her body of work consists of still photo documentaries that capture indigenous people and places and document lifestyles and social customs. She has photographed in Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean Islands and South East Asia including China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Tibet. Carmen has an undergraduate degree from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida in Environmental Studies and International Relations. She completed a certificate in photography at the University of South Florida and attended the Graduate School of Journalism at USF St. Petersburg. She presently resides in Ventura California where she is currently working on various social documentary projects at home and abroad.
