Since the Katrina catastrophe that befell New Orleans and the Mississippi coast, the plight of most of the residents in the New Orleans area remains the same. It looks like the hurricane hit the day before when I visited the 9th ward, St Bernard Parish and the 17th Street Canal area on June 26, 2006.
